Eve Arnold passed away yesterday. She was very kind to me when I left Magnum to set up on my own, and I hope she'll be remembered not only as a giant of photojournalism, a pioneer and a force of nature, but also as a wonderful warm person who was thoughtful and generous even to the little people around her - John
